advice for the next mayor of NYC

japan is holding elections for a new mayor of tokyo. considering how much tragedy is occurring in, and around japan itself, surely this has brought out the country's best and brightest to help lead.

while this may be true, it seems that applicable candidates should have creative talents as well.

my god, these guys just make me hate bloomberg even more.

second video is in japanese, but who cares what he's saying as he represents the "smile party."

just to confirm - these are both real candidates. not only do our japanese friends have the difficult decision of soba vs. ramen, but now they've got to choose between these gods?

good luck to everyone.

the lovery kit kat.

perfectly timed for all the valentines day activities, this selection of red treats arrived from japan.

the important takeaway from this lesson is not 'how cool karyn is to have nice friends send her puresento(s)' (this being inherent in the discussion), nor is it even about 'lovery.'

this lesson is about Kit Kats.

why do THEY get so many flavors for their Kit Kats? i understand that the GREEN TEA flavor might be a stretch for americans, and frankly, ROYAL MILK TEA might raise and eyebrow, but you dont think that SPARKLING STRAWBERRY will go over well ? ?

i'm insulted (and starving).

UPDATES: the little orange colored small kit kat in the top picture is BUTTERED SWEET POTATO.

Nagisa Riiru / Playgirl No.1

a quick search on google/wiki to find out who nagisa riiru REALLY is, yields, extremely slim results. in fact, this appears to be the only picture of her in existence.

i'm pretty sure this song translates as : "man there is a lot of snow in nyc today. let's party."

bibari maeda and munetaka inoue and his sharp five.

"twilight beach" - bibari maeda and munetaka inoue and his sharp five

mostly an actress (you probably recognize her from
Son of Godzilla, 1967, right?).... but did you know she also got together with this sharp group of men (5 of them, actually) and came up with this hot, melancholy jam?

what? you say you've never heard of her?? me either!!! and that is because you (like me) are not japanese.

sooo, using the faceless web, let's pretend, and get sentimental for the old times here:
